In the world of "overpriced county" that is Palm Beach Cty, Longhorn stands out as a pretty good value with positive relation between price and quality. Often packed, the unpretentious steakhouse near the intersection Okeechobee and Jog, offers good service and good meat at reasonable prices. Matter of fact in West Palm Beach I would say it's the best steakhouse you can find, yes, better than the very overpriced Okeechobee Steakhouse where old money people from the island of Palm Beach go just before they can. I had a great filet, medium, yesterday and my wife's medium rare sirloin was also very tasty. A couple of glasses of decent wine (also well priced) and it's a good night, without having the feeling (often happens around here) that you overpaid. Good place for steaks, good prices, attentive service, it's a winner in West Palm.

Now that I'm back on a high-protein diet and I had a coupon for $4 off, we went to LongHorn after a very-long time, and it was really good. The staff is amazing. The steaks, and we had 3 different kinds, were 5-star steak-house worthy for a much-cheaper cost. Adding it to our "often" list.

Check your cheque! We went with a group of 12 people and 4 of us were overcharged for their main course! We ordered from the "500 calories" menu and were charged for the full portion version. They corrected our bills with little protest other than "you have to tell us that you want the small portion". Come on, I was pointing to the 500 menu and said "small portion"! What more did you want me to do!? Anyway, the food was good, plentiful, but not very hot. I had the shrimp and lobster chowder (tasty, nicely spiced but barely warm) and the grilled shrimp (again, very tasty, but barely warmer than the soup). The rice was excellent and helped keep the shrimp warmish. Mixed veg were very nice, not overdone. Hubby had 6oz steak, done to his liking with a nice baked potato. Thankfully I had enough veg for both of us. This was my first visit to a Longhorn; not sure I will be going back.

We used to go to Outback when we wanted a steak dinner. Over the past couple of years Outback has gone downhill. It's nice to have a national chain restaurant that still puts an emphasis of quality. Great food, great service and a nice atmosphere.

The 30oz Porterhouse Steak was fantastic along with their homemade steak sauce. Our waitress was very nice (forgot her name) and even did something special for the little one. If we're ever back in the area we will stop by again!

My family goes to this location a couple of times a year for special occasions. Prime rib is usually what I order. My son likes the steaks. The food quality is consistently good. The service is usually very good. Portion sizes are specified on the menu. What you read is what you get. The only minor gripes I have are that it is a little too noisy sometimes during peak hours, and the prices are a bit high. For a chain steakhouse in this price range, Longhorn is about as good as you will find. Do yourself a big favor and call ahead for seating. Otherwise, you are in for a significant wait during the busy times.

Surprisingly, this was my first time to Longhorn. Though I've lived near this particular location for years, I've never put forth the energy to come here. I now see I was missing out! I decided to go tonight with my boyfriend for an after work dinner date. It was around 7:00 and we were seated promptly. Our Server, Frank was absolutely amazing. Though it was a fairly busy night, he made sure to keep our drinks refilled and periodically checked on our table. He even had this funny spiel that he did which was pretty entertaining. The food itself was great as well. Both me and my bf ordered the Spicy-Grilled Jalapeño Sirloin ($12.99/15.99 for a 6oz/8oz) with mashed potatoes and a Caesar salad. I get pretty bothered when steaks aren't cooked to correct temperatures but both of ours were a perfect med-rare. Washed it all down with a blackberry iced tea and the night was golden. It's safe to say that I will return to try other dishes.

I came here on a Thursday evening around 6:30pm. This place was packed and parking was hard to come by. We had a 5-10 min wait for a table for two. As we were seated, our server came over to us promptly. I subscribed to the email list which sends you a free appetizer coupon immediately that you have to use within the next week. We got the wikd west shrimp which were really good. They do have a hint of hotness to them from the peppers but not too much. I thought it was pretty good. I prefer the fried green tomatoes that I've tried here before. Honey wheat bread was served with dinner and it was really good. I ordered a ribeye rare with a sweet potato and Caesar salad. Our appetizer, side salads and bread were brought out almost within 5 minutes of ordering. I was surprised it was do fast! Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. Our waitress was really good too.

Longhorn has the best rib-eye steak I've ever had. Salads, mashed potatoes, yams, everything is wonderful. All of the entrees as well as the appetizers and desserts are absolutely fantastic. The staff are all nice to you, fast with your order and the place is impeccably clean. Longhorn is one of the best, if not the best restaurant in town. All of their locations are equally tremendous. I love it,I love it, I love it. I want my last meal to be their rib-eye steak (medium please) with mashed potatoes and a beer.

I'm back! Food is good and dependable. The bar is staff super friendly and service oriented. The restaurant is fairly quiet even when it's crowded and the concierge is quick. First time I was here I had the salmon, tonight I had steak with shrimp and both were fantastic. Always easy to get a seat (especially at the bar!)

Arrived for lunch around 1:30pm and ordered right away, at 2:30pm our food was still no where to be seen. It wasn't busy and we only ordered salads and a half of sandwich. We asked for the manager who could have cared less about our complaint. She explained there was a large 30 person to go order that was slowing the kitchen down. It didn't seem like a very good excuse as to why they were keeping the paying customers inside they're establishment waiting, waiting, and waiting. This is clearly a case of very poor management. We will not be dining there again.

Not a fan!! The service was slow and the food wasn't all that good. I had the the steak with shrimp. The steak tested off and the shrimp was over done. The vegetables were not cooked right either. The mashed potatoes were out of a box or bag.

Only worth 1 star because of the great service we received from Kip. Other than that, HORRIBLE is an understatement! I called at 3pm to let them know my party of 7 would be coming at 6pm. I called at 5pm to confirm that 6 would be in my party. They said come, there might be a small wait. We arrived at 6:08 pm. We waited, and waited, and waited. People came and went and we still waited. We asked, they said only 3 families in front of you. Again we waited, family # 1,2,3....then 7, then family #8 was sat. Believe it or not, one of my students and his family of 5 were there no more than 5 mins and they were seated!!! I was fit to be tied. I spoke with the manager Stacy McCabe, what a worthless manager, as she could not have cared any less. After another 5 to 10 min wait They proceeded to seat us right in the walk path but we insisted on a back table because person #7 showed up to say hello. My menu was dirty, the table was dirty, and my silverware was dirty! Disgustingly dirty. Kip the waiter was fine. He tried to make a bad situation better. I do plan to speak to Shawn Kern the Managing partner to let him know of this experience. If he acts like he cares, I may change my star rating but at this point they barely deserve the one star I gave them. And again they only got it because of Kip. My husband said that his steak was great but my burger had grizzle and I cannot eat meat with grizzle. I gave my burger to my dad. However, the loaded baked potato soup was delicious. I sure hope they didn't do anything to it! I can only hope and pray. Next day: I spoke with the Manager named Tara and she was so apologetic on behalf of Longhorn Steakhouse and said she did not want this experience to hinder us from dining at Longhorn's. She said they strive to give a red carpet experience to all their customers. She said she would not make excuses for your fellow manager, rather apologize for their lack of care and concern for us as their guest. She has said she will send us a $100 gift card to try them again and if I didn't want to come to their location I was welcome to try any of their others in the area. I would say Tara is top notch and understand customer satisfaction and for jay I am changing my star rating to a 4 star. I will be contacting the Partnering Manager to let him know how kind and nonjudgmental Tara was.

I'm rating 4 only because we waited 1 hour and 40 minutes before we were seated with a party of 7, ridiculous! Once we were in, our server Josh was phenomenal. He took our drink and appetizer orders and delivered those quickly. He took very good care of us. His charisma, enthusiasm and sense of humor was definitely a plus, specially after the long wait. Food was delicious, it always is. Left very satisfied and content with our choice of restaurant for the night. Will be sure to call in advance and reserve a table next time, specially if it's after 7 pm.

  • Rebecca S.

The service is fantastic, so my rating has nothing to do with that. I ordered the half sandwich & soup combo; the tomato basil soup was just okay... it had oils floating around on the top of it. I didn't finish the bowl. My half sandwich (chicken and avocado) was again, just meh. I took two big bites and put it down. The margarita I had, Black & Blue, was very tasty and the shaker was filled to the top. In the end, it became overly sweet as everything settled to the bottom of the shaker, and I couldn't finish the drink. I only came here at the request of a family member for lunch. Based on the food, I won't come back by choice.

Arrived at 7:45. Seated at 8:15. I should have followed my gut and left when, upon entering the establishment, I was just about knocked out from the moldy / 100 year old dirty mop water smell that permeated throughout. Our server would need significant remedial training to improve to a disgruntled employee level of enthusiasm. It took three tries to get straws for our drinks. The ice in the drinks was cloudy. The sweet tea was not the normal Longhorn Steakhouse flavor and taste. I barely drank any - server could have cared less. We were served 1/2 of a loaf of cold bread. Server stated 'that is how we server bread for two'. I was able to quickly scan our section and spot two other two guest tables which, unbelievably, had full loafs of bread. I guess serving it cold is an extra touch our server provided at this specific location. We waiting 25 minutes for salads and 20 minutes after that for our entree. Wife's salad had a piece of lettuce the size of a beach towel. Wife's steak (Outlaw) was close to LongHorn standards. Mine (Porterhouse) was a mix of under cooked to well done to the point of eating rawhide. I guess they got some portion of my steak right somewhere .... I'm not certain where the core issue is, but this is without a doubt the worst LongHorn Steakhouse I have ever patronized. I'll graze elsewhere for my steak fix.

We come here every time we feel like having a steak. It's the best steakhouse you can find if you want good quality food at a decent price (I personally like their Filet Mignon). They also have good wine at fair prices. The service was never disappointing. Definitely a nice place to enjoy a good steak without breaking the bank!

Cant go wrong with the porterhouse for 2! Cooked to perfection at medium. You get the awesome table sauce!

Had awesome service from Eric our server and I have to say, not many places serve Pittsburgh style steak (burnt on the outside yet medium rare on the inside). When I asked about that option, Eric ensured me that they did do this style, and to my pleasant surprise, the sirloin steak was so tasty my husband who ordered the ribeye, thought it was better than his own dish! Can't beat a flavorsome Pittsburgh style steak! Wow! And the steak tomato bacon salad just blew me away!!! Thanks Eric for your awesome attitude and service! You certainly made my evening!

It's tough to get a good steak in Western Palm Beach County. For some time, this Longhorn was a fairly reliable option. The sides, salads and bread are always excellent and the steaks .. well the steaks are 70/30 (typically good, with a margin for error). Lately the quality of the steaks seems to have declined, regarding the steak quality. Fortunately they have a great staff and generally speaking they do their best to make you happy. One thing I can recommend, the filet is typically more consistent and reliable than the other steaks. 90% of the filets I've had at this Longhorn have been reasonably good.

Love going here . The waitstaff has always been on point - the training they get must be exceptional. Everything from the drinks to the appetizers and the main dish have always been cooked perfectly, with one exception. One day we did not get the steak as it was ordered and the manager himself cooked it and brought it to our table to assure us that we had an exceptional dining experience. That is how it is done and how it should be for all eateries The restaurant is always clean and I would suggest the call ahead seating especially on busy weekend nights. It is one of the rare places that they will remember our names and make us feel like it is our own place. They do have seasonal items that will come and go - and I usually try them every time. Even after it is off the menu I have asked for an item and they have accommodated my request and made it if they have the items in stock. I've never had a bad experience at this restaurant - the staff the management are all top-notch !

Ordinary, average, no great highs are lows. It does scramble my brain that diners will line up to eat at places like this on a Saturday night, while great family-owned restaurants are peppered with empty tables. We started with the Wild West Shrimp. As just about anything fried had merit, it was...fine. It was really nothing more than small and lightly breaded shrimp with ordinary Ranch dressing and unnecessary sliced peppers. My dining companion ordered the Sirloin Bleu Ridge Wedge...a good-looking salad but nothing creative that would make you say Wow! I had the Redrock Grilled Shrimp that came with rice and a side - I chose the Potato and Leek Gratin. All fine again but not memorable. The shrimp were plentiful and plump; the rice flavorful; the gratin tasty, but there was nothing I'd go back to have again. The menu prices were fairly reasonable, so if budget-friendly, ordinary food is your weakness, you're going to LOVE this place!

I had been craving a steak for over two weeks when the bf suggested Longhorn. I have never been to one before but I would have no problem going back. The wait on a Friday night at 6:30 was a half hour but we took bar seats that were soon available instead. The service was fast and friendly. I ordered the 6 oz renegade medium well and it was cooked perfectly. The meat was incredibly tender and I ate all of it. The potato was nice as well but after a nicely sized house salad I just didn't have the room for it. The value was very good and encourages me to go back.

I've eaten here in the past and was satisfied with the food and service. This time I ordered for pickup and order was to be ready by 6:30. I arrived about 6:35 and after waiting for 30 minutes and speak8ng wirh the manager my order came. I got to my car and upon checking my order they didn't include my appetizer. I went back inside and they got me the appetizer. No apologies or offer to comp. After waiting 30 minutes past the time my order was supposed to be ready and they still messed up the order. I won't ever order take out from here again.

I've been to this Longhorn many times and rarely had any problems however, tonight was terrible. Our salads were a little brown which is a huge pet peeve of mine. Freshness is important when it comes to a salad. Our entrees, a cowboy ribeye and salmon came out 2 minutes after we received our salads. My wife returned her salmon because the outside was burnt so I ate my steak while she ate her salad. A few of the asparagus still had the brown ends on them. When we spoke with the manager, he didn't seem to believe us. There are a lot of new faces at this Longhorn which is a shame because the last manager was great. Bottom line is that you should enjoy a $60 meal and we definitely did not. Updated to 2 stars.

LONGHORN STEAKHOUSE IS THE GREATEST! Nothing better, anywhere, any time. Got into West Palm last night, for vacation. I went straight to Longhorn. This place knows how to make a margarita. I'm from California so I would know. I had the sirloin, baked sweet potato ( sheer heaven ) and salad with the best blue cheese dressing on the planet, bar none. They make their own. My steak was properly rare, tender, juicy and flavorful with every bite. Longhorn Steakhouse is a cut above the rest. I've been to them in different states and the service is consistenly terrific, upbeat and positive. They make it fun. This place is top drawer, and affordable. Run Don't Walk to Longhorn Steakhouse!

I was there last Saturday with my wife and kids. We had Kandra as our sever. First off service to me besides good tasting food is a MUST. We had outstanding service . She was polite and very attentive . The food was very good. I would recommend this location to anyone wishing to eat good food .it was quite crowded so if you go call ahead to eliminate waiting time

I am a regular Longhorn steakhouse. I go to this location sometimes three times a month. I have never had a bad meal. Service is always superb. Their soups are tremendous along with their green beans and broccoli. I am not much of a steak eater, but I have enjoyed your mistakes. My real reason to go there is their salmon dish. It is always perfectly prepared and wonderful. I realize they are a steakhouse however I wish there were more seafood offering and salmon and shrimp.

I've experienced LongHorn Steakhouse in multiple states, and this location compares with all the others. In case you have never been, I find it similar to Outback Steakhouse in ambiance and quality of food and service. This location stays pretty busy, even on week nights. I've been here multiple times and my longest wait was on Valentine's Day, with no reservation, and it was about 1 hr 20 mins. Normally on a weekEND the wait is right under an hour. The food is excellent and as expected in this class of restaurant. The spinach dip is really good as an appetizer, and although I love the taste of steak without any steak sauce, their house sauce for ~ 2.99 is very neat and they make it fresh right at your table. Great food for a nice dinner out if you want to spend around $15 for steak, side, bread, and a drink. Service meets expectations over and over again.

I've always been the biggest fan of Longhorn & have always found myself committed to the same fair few menu items that I felt were heaven sent. But this location, prepared our dinner entrees horribly. I am one, that would like to go out and enjoy exactly what it is that I pay for. But coming into a restaurant only to be seated at a table completely trashed, and chairs covered with food & what seemed to be butter, is highly unacceptable, but yet seemed perfectly fine by the waitstaff. I too understand that some nights are busier than others. But in the same, I do not believe your experience should be sacrificed and your expectations demanded to be lowered. I requested my steak to be prepared medium rare, only to have a steak brought to me, cooked well, mashed potatoes barely reaching the temperature of which they should & a dirty cup. Our waitress was polite, but at times found ourselves waiting excessively for any requests that may have been given. I will give them the benefit of doubt that tonight may have not been their best, but driving to this location in hopes that the service may be a bit better will not happen. I would much prefer to drive the extra miles out of my way.

Great food and service I don't have a problem with those 2 things at all but there is 1 thing that bothers me is that the booths are set so far back from the tables. I either have to lean really far to be over the table or sit on the edge of the booth seat to be over the table it's a terrible design. Other then that the place is great!

This is my "favorite" restaurant in Florida!! My husband and friends have celebrated birthdays there for years. The staff is more than friendly and willing to serve you at all times. If you enjoy lobster...Longhorns has "the Best"!! Red Lobster doesn't come close. Their lobster melts in your mouth it is so tender!! Just a note, they also participate in the TalkTo app. Text them and they'll let you know if/how busy they are! Definitely a 5 Star restaurant!!

Dad was a steak man. He loved my mother's cooking, and ate every meal that she plated, but he didn't enjoy her steak -- she broiled it, being afraid of the grill. So when I took him out for Father's Day, or his birthday two days after Christmas, it was for steak. Over the years, the steakhouse would change, but towards the last years of his life, it was always Outback Steakhouse. Mom and Dad lived in Australia for 13 years before I was born, so I think the environment brought back some fond memories of Adelaide and Sydney, and made his meal that much better. Dad passed away in 2011 about 3 weeks before his birthday, and that first Christmas was hard for everyone. Two days later, it wasn't even a question -- we've gotta go out for steak; it's Dad's birthday. Out of knee jerk reflex, we went to Outback again. And cried. Again, on December 27th of 2012, we did Outback again, and again, the whole Australian theme made it hard on everybody -- especially Mom. I realized we had to find another steakhouse to commemorate his birthday next year. Well, in the late fall of 2013, I had attended the Yelp! Steakucation CMYE in Delray Beach, and not only learned a lot about steak for my own preparation at home, but got a new appreciation for what Longhorn had to offer. I had eaten there a few times in years past, when my job functions included a lot more travel, and I was never really blown away by them, their cuts of meat, preparation, service, etc. I often confused them with the now mostly defunct Roadhouse Grill (are they even around anymore?) Well, scroll through my thread to read about what a great event that was, and my new appreciation for Longhorn. I knew that this would be the place for Dad's birthday this year. Not wanting to make the trek down to Delray Beach, we opted for the WPB location. As expected, the place was packed, and the hostess informed us that the wait was nearly an hour. We got our buzzer and sat down for the long wait, but to our collective surprise, it lit up after about 20 minutes. Mom got a burger, but the rest of us got steaks -- 2 sirloins for the wife and daughter, and a ribeye for myself, all medium well. Everyone cleaned their plates. For dessert, all four of us split their signature dessert, the Chocolate Stampede! Yup, it's that big -- for 4. A great evening, and this year, only smiles. Happy Birthday Dad. We miss you.

We try to have a meal here each time we are in town. Never been disappointed. On our last visit our server, Francisco "the Puerto Rican Cowboy" was amazing. He was attentive, funny and all around great. The couple at the next table were not happy and frankly quite obnoxious and Francisco handled them with grace and humor. Fabulous experience.

I find Longhorn to be good, each time I visit. They happen to have had an off night on this visit but the management took care of the issue with professionalism. We will return and expect a great steak as usual...

Now this is my favorite US Steakhouse!!!!! Have eaten at many Longhorn locations & always happy with the meal. Great drink list, casual, friendly & fast service!!! The steak is of good quality and many other menu items are available. The management is always on hand and visits the tables to make sure your meal is ok. For less than $12 I had a good size Parmesan crusted sirloin steak, cooked to order and a tasty baked potato with sour cream and butter. Before the meal they served bread and butter (very good, and let me tell you, I am picky when it comes to bread) and my meal came with a salad (good size and fresh taste). Our appetizers of Buffalo Chicken and the Tonion were excellent, The extra sauces we asked for appeared with them. The main course my guest had was a Wild Mushroom and Fontina stuffed filet (7 oz.). It was TO DIE FOR. Yumm! Another friend had prime rib which was also great. We had a great time and great, attentive service. I was impressed. I'd recommend this Longhorn location to anyone. They obviously know how to take care of their customers and the food was excellent!

This place definitely knows how to cook some steak. The shrimp scampi is my favorite, it's AMAZING. The service here is incredibly fast, and everyone is super friendly(:

The three cheese stuffed filet is simply awesome. It's topped and stuffed with provolone, white cheddar, and parmesan cheese. Oh so good. Maybe the special will be a regular menu item. The bread is pretty good too. I'm a fan of the loaded baked potato. Mmmm...who can pass that up? Yum.

Outlaw Ribeye is my favorite steak ever. This place beats out most steakhouses in town and is by far the cheapest one compared to them. The server we got was really nice and very attentive. We had to wait 30 minutes to be seated but it was well worth it. The house salad is also really good and the bread they give you is always really warm. I have no negative comments to say about them!

  • Jenniffer L.

Good service, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, good food. What more could you ask for? I always get the prime rib, which is great. We usually start with the shrimp and crab dip, which is awesome. This particular location is on a wait around 5 pm on Saturday nights. Pretty popular spot!

We usually have a good experience here at longhorn. I'm gonna say 75% of the time it's good, 25% is awful. The problems generally are service related, but this last time my wife ordered a medium well steak and got it rare. We sent it back and got it super well done (super dry too). This is a steak house, they should know how to cook steaks.... My parmesan crusted chicken was amazing.

Went to eat there last night. Food was great and the staff was extremely friendly. My gf got the steak and shrimp which came out perfect, and I got the chicken breast with melted parmesan cheese with bread crumbs.... delicious. 5 stars.
